Bel Canto Sotto le Stelle!
On Saturday 16th of March at 6.30 pm, a musical evening will be held at the “Nicosia Municipal Multipurpose Centre” (Nikiforou Foka 40, 1016 Nicosia next to Famagusta Gate) Bel Canto sotto le Stelle!
The soprano, Vasfiye Cakirtas, accompanied by the pianist, Gozdem Ilkay, will sing arias by Pergolesi and Caldara as well as traditional Cypriot songs.
Vasfiye Cakirtas teaches piano and singing at the Near East University of Nicosia and sings soprano with the Prague and London Symphony Orchestra and with the North Cyprus Chamber Orchestra.
Gozdem Ilkay is an active member of the South Cyprus Chamber Orchestra, as well as piano teacher at the Eastern Mediterranean University and the Near East University of Nicosia.
Refreshments will be served after the concert.
