Vorrei una maschera così spaventosa,
che tremi la gente più coraggiosa;
da strega o fantasma,
da mostro o vampiro,
da scheletro bianco che vagoli in giro
tra gli alberi spogli nel lume lunare,
così che la gente si metta ad urlare.
E nessuno sappia che il più spaventoso
di tutti i costumi ce l’ha il più pauroso.
